Can You Fly with CBD?
When visiting CBD Social at our downtown Charleston location, many people ask us “Can I fly with CBD?”. The short answer to that is yes, but like most travel laws, it is always important to understand what is in the products and what the laws of the destination are.
Knowing what is allowed on a plane is an important aspect of traveling. CBD has been federally legal in the United States since 2018. Coming from the hemp plant, CBD with less than 0.3% THC is legal to fly with in the United States. Normal TSA rules still apply in that any liquids must be below 3 ounces. This includes CBD products like oils and creams. Whereas vape pens and cartridges may be included in your carry-on, but not checked baggage.
If traveling outside of the United States, it is best to research the laws of the destination country before flying with CBD. It is also important to know that all of your products are pure CBD and do not contain THC.
At CBD Social, there is no need to worry while flying in the U.S. as all of our products contain less than 0.3% THC. Not only that, but all of our liquid products outside of our CBD Water are 3 ounces or less. This includes our CBD oils, topicals, and vape cartridges.
